Welcome to Matchly, a mobile application developed and operated by Avenue Apps. By accessing or using our mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
1. Service Description
Matchly is a mobile application that helps groups and couples decide on activities, cuisines, movies, and more through a swipe-based matching system. The app offers Party Mode (for groups) and Couple Mode (for pairs) with various categories of choices. By using Matchly, you acknowledge that we collect usage analytics (such as session activity, swipe actions, and feature usage) tied to your account to improve the service. Analytics data is stored on our own infrastructure and is not shared with third-party analytics providers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
2. User Accounts
You may create an account using social authentication (Google, Facebook, or Apple Sign In). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. Guest users may join party sessions without an account by providing a nickname. You must be at least 13 years old to use this service.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: • Use the service for any unlawful purpose • Impersonate another person or entity • Interfere with or disrupt the service • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service • Use automated means to access the service • Upload inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content • Harass or abuse other users
4. User Content
You retain ownership of content you create (such as profile information). By using the service, you grant Avenue Apps a limited license to use your display name and avatar within party and couple sessions for the purpose of providing the service.
5. Intellectual Property
The Matchly app, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Avenue Apps and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the service.
6. Advertisements
The service includes video advertisements displayed before match results. These ads are provided by third-party services (Google AdMob). We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that match results will satisfy all participants.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Avenue Apps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to decisions made based on match results.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by updating the "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Portugal.
12. Third-Party Data & Attributions
Matchly uses data from third-party services to power its board game and video game categories. We comply with each provider's terms of use and acknowledge the following data sources: Board game data is provided by BoardGameGeek and is used under a commercial license granted by BoardGameGeek for advertisement-supported applications. Some board game data may originate from Wikipedia and is available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 license (CC BY-NC-SA 3.0). Video game data is provided by RAWG and is used in compliance with the RAWG API Terms of Service.
